Shipley’s Choice Swim & Tennis Club (SCS&TC) is a private recreational facility serving resident members of the Shipley’s Choice community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The Club is centrally located on approximately 4 acres of property, adjacent to a county park and the Shipley’s Choice Elementary School. The Club facilities include four pools, four tennis courts (with pickle ball courts included), two bathhouses, an office, a clubhouse with an extensive deck, a concession area, and a private parking lot. Other amenities include gas grills, an outdoor ping pong table, and two corn hole sets. Organized swim & tennis teams, tennis camps, and social events are major elements of the Club. Social events include an annual Luau, a Crab Feast, live entertainment, and frequent food trucks.

The Club is located at 947 Rustling Oaks Drive in Millersville, Maryland. Our mailing address is PO Box 74, Millersville, MD 21108.

Membership

Membership in the Club is limited to 720 households within the community. Members who have purchased their bond before February 28, 1995 have the option of transferring their bond to the buyers of their residence. Approximately 15% of the bonds are currently transferable. The remaining bonds are transferred when they are surrender by current bond holders and are offered for purchase to the first household on the Club’s Waiting List. To join our Waiting List, you must be a property owner in Shipley’s Choice or “Under Contract” to purchase a property in Shipley’s Choice.  Please submit a Request for Membership form to be added to our list.

The Wait List is provided at the Club’s discretion. It in no way binds the Club to any specific action. The current Wait List as of July 8, 2026, can be found here.

Since January 1, 2026, 20 bonds have been offered to families on the wait list.
